Presented by Pennylane Shen, this 3-hour seminar will cover:
• Presentation (portfolio, application letters, CVs, submissions, proposals)
• Approaching the Vancouver market (gallery profiles and descriptions)
• Alternative exhibition options (juried exhibitions, non-profit art spaces, group shows)
• Commercial gallery procedures and guidelines (payment, contracts, shipping, framing)

Vancouver Gallery Hop | Various talks and events

Presented by the Canadian Art Foundation, the Vancouver Gallery Hop is a full-day event beginning with a morning talk with Reid Shier, Director/Curator of Presentation House Gallery and artist Mafanwy Mcleod. The afternoon will include free artist talks and gallery tours. In the evening, the film Ai Weiwei: Sunflower Seeds and China, The Empire Act? will be screened, with an introduction by Daina Augaitis, Chief Curator / Deputy Director of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
